April 1, 2010 - DURAND, MI. — Curves of Durand is the April recipient of the FOX 66 Green Business Award! The Green Business Award is presented to local businesses for taking strides to make their workplace more eco-friendly. Curves of Durand takes many steps to reduce, reuse, and recycle. They use dry erase boards instead of paper signs and posters, turn off lights and equipment whenever possible and use timers to minimize energy use. They also recycle a multitude of materials and both sell and promote reusable containers. Curves members also work together to promote reuse by donating clothing, furniture, and household items to charity. Let's be Stronger Together: Each year, millions of women suffer needlessly from preventable disease. Together, we can change this.
